Christmas Day

the kids waited courteously until 7 am and then snuck into my room and said mum its 7 please can we open them now.  I wandered into the lounge room and there are four expectant children (the fifth stayed in bed lol) one by one they opened their pressies.

The twins were first and one squealed and hugged me and hugged me and looked at his pressie and squealed some more and then opened his pressie like it was gold, he got something hes been asking for for ages a nintendo 3ds.  he immediately coded it to the computer and he was off on his own, throughout the day hes been polishing and cleaning it, its his special toy.

Second twin next he is less demonstrative as his brother and carefully held his present and a smile came over his face and he realised what it was that also hasnt really left his hands for the last few hours.  An apple ipod touch.

Third child opened her present and it dawned on her that she had gotten her mouth opened wide her eyes amazed, then a delighted emotional squeal came out.  She of all the kids had no clue what she was going to be given and had no idea what she wanted so i guess thats a score one to mum.  All day she has been thanking me profusely for her present and it also hasnt left her hands.   She got her first ever android tablet.

Fourth child knew she was getting her present but she also has spent the whole day with her present in her hands.  Up until a few minutes ago that is and shes decided im bad mum once again because im working all this week and she has decided im not a good mum by not spending every weekend with her.  Sighs and told her that if she wanted to find a new mum she could but she would need to leave her present here so i could sell it and get some money back. She also got a ipod touch.

Fifth child and eldest eventually woke and his bumbled thanks mum was as good as it gets, he got a gym membership and a new gym bag.

We then went of to lunch with a friend and had a great day. My personal joy seeing my kids enjoy something i was never given a chance to enjoy the present given in love.
